Multicultural Women's Group

The Multicultural Women’s Group is a long-standing service in the community. Open to all people, over 10 countries are regularly represented. A drop-in program, women of many cultures to get together for support, friendship and learning. The group usually begins with an interactive and educational activity. Activities have ranged from; cultural presentations by participants, to learning about women’s health issues, and even a mock voting station. The group ends with a potluck lunch and some fun games. Women also learn about Canadian customs and culture by exploring and celebrating Canadian Holidays such as; Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas, Valentine’s, Easter, and so on.
