Annual General Meeting

MISA is a not-for-profit society with a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership. The Board includes 6-8 directors, each director commits to serving either a one or two-year long term. MISA looks for diversity in talent and background in the directors. The election of officers is held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

MISA’s fiscal year-end is April 30 and our AGM usually takes place in September. The staff and board of directors present a report of the activities over the past year, as well as the financial statements. The AGM is usually consists of snacks, recognition of community partners, and a chance to visit and meet other members and staff.
